Improved ergonomic levers
The Tiagra ST-4725 levers promises improved comfort and ergonomics and has redesigned internals with a similar look to the higher level Ultegra and 105 groupsets. The levers feature a satin grey finish also similar to the other performance groupsets in the Shimano range. The levers feature smooth effortless operation, and reach adjustment.
Shimano Tiagra Rear Derailleur
The rear derailleur is available in two sizes. The medium cage is the most popular choice and should be selected if you want to use an 11-34T or 11-32T cassette. Select the Tiagra Short Cage if your cassette size is 11-28T or 11-25T.
Shimano Tiagra 4700 Chainset
The reinforced 4-arm chainset has a PCD of 110 and is optimised for smoother shifting and better power transfer. The chainset is available in a range of sizes to suit all levels of riders. 50-34T (compact) is perfect for those who are new to riding or plan on hilly riding, 52-36T (semi-compact) is great for riders who plan on training and racing.
Shimano Tiagra Front Derailleur
The longer lever arm on the Tiagra front derailleur creates a light action at the shift lever and precise reliable shifting. The front derailleur has a braze-on fitting and depending on your frame you may require a band for fitting.
Shimano Tiagra Hydraulic Disc Brakes
Shimano use trickle down technology to create more powerful braking over their previous versions of Tiagra. The hydraulic disc is supplied pre-bled and filled with Shimano mineral oil. The caliper has convenient one way bleeding with easy adjustment. The caliper is designed to fit flat mount frames.
