Continental Podium TT Tubular Tyre
The time trial choice of pro road racers. The new Podium TT has been developed both by Continental's craftsmen in Korbach, Germany and also by the professional cyclists of Orica-GreenEdge, BMC & Movistar. Using this combined expertise, Continental restructured the old 19mm Podium by minimising the amount of tread rubber to reduce weight (0.7mm), replacing it with a high-tech and very lightweight Vectran breaker underneath.
Vectran is used in all of Continental's premium clincher and tubular models, and the Podium is no exception! Tougher than aramid, Vectran is a clear winner in strength to weight testing, it also ensures that the rolling resistance on such a speed critical tyre is never comprimised. The Podium is the best choice for dedicated time triallists and triathletes.
The tyre will still withstand the rigoures of a full British club time trial programme.
- Superfast Time Trial specific tubular
- 22mm with 25mm coming in 2015
- 12 bar (170 psi) pressure capacity
- With Black Chili & Vectran puncture protection
- Used by five WorldTour teams
