Everything you need to know about PEdALED Cycle Clothing

PEdALED is a relative newcomer in riding and cycling apparel, first hitting the market in 2012. Pronounced pedal-head, it has become one of our favourite brands for both performance road and off-road cycling.

Over the past few years, PEdALED has gone from producing a single jersey and bib shorts, plus socks in a range of colours and designs, to making everything from base layers to winter jackets, with a focus on ultra-distance riding and gravel events.

There are three ranges: Element, Odyssey, and Yama. The muted colours and simple patterns are shared throughout the collections, making the kit interchangeable depending on your riding plans.

Element Range

Designed for: Training, riding and racing on tarmac.

Why it is different: The made in Italy kit is made from high quality fabrics and has features you’d expect of premium tier apparel, with double zips, high-wicking plush fabrics, three rear pockets and athletic fit.

Riding: If your plan is to climb cols or train for a fast gravel race, look no further than the Element range.

Odyssey Range

Designed for: Long distance riding, on or off-road. It has a slightly relaxed fit compared to Element.

Why it is different: You’ll find additional pockets on the bib shorts, bib tights and reflective detailing, including reflective yarn added to the Odyssey socks.

Riding: The Odyssey range features relaxed, casual items like a merino tee and hooded jackets for backcountry bike-packing, as well as ultra-wicking performance-fit bib shorts that are packed with pockets for ultra-distance events.

Our Favourite Autumn and Winter Items from PEdALED 2024

Essential Long Sleeve Jersey

Pedaled Element Long Sleeve Jersey available at Condor

A staple of any wardrobe, the midweight, highly-breathable jersey can be worn from autumn right through to spring, and you can layer up over the top. Unlike the Training Jersey, which is a long sleeve jersey without thermal features, the Long Sleeve Jersey has a microfleece layer that isn’t too bulky.

Element Alpha Vest

Pedaled Element Alpha Gilet

The Element Alpha Vest is an insulated gilet which is lined with Polartec’s ultra-lightweight and comfortable Alpha fabric. This gilet scrunches down small and is a go-to item for autumn and winter. You can layer it over a long sleeve jersey or heavier jacket for additional protection on chilly descents. There is a two-way zip to get to back pockets or add ventilation.

Element Waterproof Gilet

Pedaled Element Waterproof Gilet available at Condor

The waterproof gilet does not feature any insulation but can be used as a barrier on chillier starts and milder winter days. It is fully waterproof and perfect for when the weather turns foggy or misty and you want to repel water, or there is the risk of showers.

Odyssey Merino Windblock Long Sleeve Jersey

Pedaled Element Windblock Jersey

If the Essential Long Sleeve focuses on simplicity, getting out there and riding in the time you have or daylight available on shorter days. The Odyssey Long Sleeve is for maximising your time in the saddle and features seven pockets for carrying all sorts of cargo. Made from merino, the fabric is slightly heavier than Lycra and has a soft, snug quality. Merino is odour-resistant, making it a great choice for a multi-day trip.

Odyssey Bib Tights

Pedaled Odyssey Bib Tights

Fleece-backed with plenty of pockets, the fabric is water-resistant and weatherproof, blocking some of the nasty weather you’ll find if you are running sun up to sun down.

Odyssey Detachable Jacket

Pedaled Odyssey Detachable Jacket available at Condor

A highly technical item, the jacket zips apart to become a gilet. Made from a windblock fabric, you can pack the sleeves away during the day and zip them back on in low light when it turns chillier without the winter sun. The jacket is like a shell and doesn’t have any insulating features. The aim is to layer up beneath with the Essential Merino Baselayer and Merino Jersey.
