A bike handlebar is an important element of your bike setup to get right: it controls steering and affects handling. Drop bars are commonplace on road, track and touring bikes, allowing you to get into a more aerodynamic position, and on a gravel bike, a wide drop (often flared) or flat handlebar will increase stability. Mountain bikes, single speed, hybrid and folding bikes tend to have flat handlebars. Bicycle handlebars tend to be constructed from carbon or aluminium, available in various widths, drops and rises.
