Get your Ortlieb Bag Repaired at Condor

Ortieb has offered a send away repair service for a while, but now the service is available at Condor, cutting down on miles travelled by bags. Condor is one of Ortlieb's longest standing retailers, and we are certified to carry out repairs with specialist tooling and materials.

Ortlieb has been shouting about sustainability since the nineties, which is why they want to increase their locally-sourced materials to 100% in the next few years, as well as become energy independent by 2030.

Their focus on sustainability extends to repair services that are available at the UK service centre and in our London store.

Ortlieb's repair network is designed to reduce the footprint of the bag and Condor is certified by Ortlieb to carry out repairs in our London store.

Types of repair

Rips in your bag of up to 6cm can be repaired. This includes a rip where an important component is attached.

We bond a new piece of Ortlieb fabric across your rip using specialist tools and Ortlieb materials. Where possible we try to match your existing fabric, but we may not carry material in limited edition colours or prints.

Condor can also make buckle and attachment repairs.

We stock a wide range of Ortlieb parts and spares, making it simple to replace hardware.

How to book a repair at Condor

1. Send us an email to customer.service@condorcycles.com with a description and picture of the damage so we can advise if a repair can be made. Please make the subject of your email Ortlieb Repair Service.

2. If we are able to repair it, we'll ask you to fill in a form and will provide a repair reference number for you to drop off your bag at the store, or for you to post your bag to us.

3. You can send your bag to us, but you will need to pay the cost of postage and the shipping of the bag is your responsibility. We recommend using a tracked and insured service.

4. We aim to complete repairs in 3 working days.

5. We'll let you know by email when your bag is available for collection or return shipping. Return shipping is available for £5.00 in the United Kingdom. We use Royal Mail's Tracked 48 service which usually takes 2–3 days.

Cost of the repair

Condor charges a flat fee of £15.00 to make a repair. This covers material and labour. The cost of any other parts required, such as screws, buckles or hooks, are extra.

Can I bring my bag into the store for assessment instead of emailing?

Yes you can, but staff members who are certified to carried out Ortileb repairs may not be available when you visit the store.

You can send us an email or call us and organise a time to speak to our Ortlieb specialists in the store if you are not able to email us pictures.

Can I repair the bag at home?

Yes, if your bag requires a replacement part or toggle we can provide you with the part. You can purchase in store or online. If your bag is ripped you may not be able to repair it at home as specialist tooling is required to bond fabric and make sure it is watertight.

Is repair available under warranty?

Ortlieb provides a limited 5-year warranty for their luggage. Scuff marks, holes and cracks caused by the customer's own fault are not covered by the warranty. We will advise if we think the repair falls under warranty.

How long does a repair take?

We aim to complete repairs in 3 working days. Material may need some time to cool and settle before being worked on. In some cases a repair may take up to 5 working days if we need to order a part from Ortlieb. We'll advise you of this when assessing your repair.
