The boffins at Britain's most identifiable folding bike brand, Brompton, have been beavering away this season designing new clothing and bags.
The Brompton Clothing range is made by Endura. Brompton's aim is to make city riding easier with a range of "comfortable and hassle-free" apparel.
There are six items available now for autumn and winter, notably a breathable jacket with fully taped seams and plenty of reflective bits, known as the London Waterproof Jacket, and the reversible, packable New York Insulated Gilet, which is designed to be layered under a shell jacket when it's cold or worn on its own with a jumper. It has a bright side for added visibility when riding in low light.
Alongside the clothing line, Brompton are releasing three new bags. All are made with a new proprietary fabric, Cordura 1000D, a weather-resistant, durable material that Brompton have applied a water-repellent treatment too. The Brompton Borough L Bag is a revamped version of the Brompton T Bag, and offers 28 litres of space. The Metro L Bag replaces the popular Brompton C Bag, and both come replete with a bright orange rain cover.
There is a new offering from Brompton for their Basket Bag, now called the Borough Basket. The latest bags mount to the bike use the same front carrier block, and are designed to work in harmony with all handlebar types, whether it's being ridden or tucked away.
