About this model
Cutting edge technology married with traditional craftmanship. Developed over four years with riders from our pro team and legendary steel manufacturer, Columbus, the Super Acciaio is one of a kind, featuring a tapered head tube and BSA bottom bracket. Custom-drawn tubes are hand cut and TIG welded in Italy to create a unique frame that is perfect for riders wanting a race, training or performance road bike with a spritely ride and smooth feel of steel.

High performance steel
Our custom rolled tubes made in partnership with Columbus are designed to be light yet stiff for a balance of stability and power transfer. The top tube with its decagon profile uses multiple flat surfaces to create stiffness in the tube whilst keeping weight low.

Tapered head tube
Using 1-1/8" upper bearings and 1-1/2" lower bearings creates a head tube wider at the base. The shape significantly improves front end stiffness and lateral rigidity.

Rust inhibiting treatment
After being welded, filed and cleaned, our steel frames are dipped in a rust inhibiting treatment. The treatment provides a degree of protection, particularly inside the frame, against corrosion caused by acidic substances (including water). Read more

Threaded bottom bracket
Condor frames feature a BSA threaded bottom bracket shell. It's an overlooked part of the frame, but a very important one. The lowly bottom bracket doesn’t get much attention, and if it's working properly, that's the way it should be — smooth and silent. BSA is a tried and tested, reliable system, preferred by the two of the most popular component makers, Shimano and Campagnolo. To make life easier, bottom brackets to fit this standard are available from just about anywhere. Fitting a BSA bottom bracket is simple, and the tool required is inexpensive.

Ultralight premium carbon fork
The monocoque fork features internal brake routing to reduce snagging and damage to the cable, whilst maintaining optimal braking for longer. Constructed from one piece, high grade carbon fibre creates an ultra-lightweight, incredibly strong fork, ensuring that the power you put through the bike is not lost to fork flex. The one piece construction also means the fork legs do not need to be bonded onto an an steerer, which not only saves weight but also reduces the carbon material around the fork crown to maximise tyre clearance.

Stainless details
Although the Super Acciaio may have evolved since it was first developed in 2010, we have retained the brazed stainless steel tricolor on the chainstay and a Condor stainless bird which is brazed onto the top tube. A nod to our handcrafted frame and Italian builders.
